Paul's United Church, Milverton or the M.C.C. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Milverton. Funeral service will be conducted from Milverton Christian Fellowship on Saturday, Maat 1 p.m. Relatives and friends will be received in the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer St., Milverton on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. His greatest love of all was his grandchildren. Mahlon would always be up for a game of cards with old country music playing. Mahlon loved farming his dairy herd for many years. He was a lifetime member of the Canadian Morgan Horse Club as well as a longtime member of the Linwood Rob & Gun Club. Predeceased by his parents Elam and Lydia (Albrecht) Horst, by sister Salome and Edward Habegger, brothers and sisters-in-law Allan and Emma Horst, Joseph Horst, Reuben and Kathleen Horst, Eva Horst, Shirley Horst and step father Howard Allan. Survived by his brothers Samuel and Susan Horst of Tennessee, William and Ingrid Horst of Milverton, Henry and Julia Horst of Pennsylvania, Ivan and Ruthann Horst of Pennsylvania, Nelson Horst of Tennessee, John and Martha Horst of Tennessee, Clayton and Erma Horst of Tennessee, by mother-in-law Ethel (Machan) Walker of Brucefield, brothers and sisters-in-law Ada Horst of Alma, Ron Walker and Lorraine Fraser of Strathroy, Charles and Krista Walker of Exeter and by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Madison, Emily, Jaydon, Jaxon, Payton and Kailey. Dear father of Sheila and husband Adrian Devries of Milverton. Beloved husband of the late Beverly (Walker) Horst who predeceased him September 29, 2019. Mahlon Horst of Milverton in his 86th year. Passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Monday, February 27, 2023.
